In this project, we aim to specifically label 5-HT neurons projecting to ventral hippocampus and investigate whether optogenetic activation of 5-HT terminals in the ventral dentate gyrus modulates 5-HT release and potentially rescues fear generalization.

In this project, we aim to identify how stress effects can be transmitted from one generation to the next through both behavioral- and molecular transmission pathways.
